Updated: June 18, 2008

A fire in a wiring tunnel over this past weekend affected data, Internet and telephone connectivity in more than 40 buildings on the south portion of main campus. The university has been actively working to restore these services. As of Tuesday (6/17), data and Internet connections have been restored to all locations except for one residence hall, Paterson.

Telephone service has been restored to all administrative buildings. Telephone service will be restored in the residence halls within seven days. OIT is assisting employees who have lost Internet and telephone services with alternative communications methods.
