Welcome to the Office of the Chief Information Officer

The offices of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) provide services to help Ohio State faculty, students and staff use technologies in learning, teaching, research, and administrative settings. The Office of the CIO consists of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and Technology Enhanced Learning and Research (TELR). Other CIO support areas include Information Technology Policies, IT Security, Emerging Technologies, External Affairs, Strategic Planning and Communications, Student Information System and Project Management Services. The primary role of the Office of the CIO is to serve as a catalyst in working with the campus community to innovatively leverage technology to advance and support the mission and goals of the university.
